Anniversary Trip to OKC

Just 3 "short" years ago John and I said I do. My how life has changed since then.

For the long MLK weekend we celebrated our anniversary by taking a trip to Oklahoma City to watch the OKC Thunder vs the Miami Heat. We had a really good time! Dwayne Wade was amazing and Mario Chalmers did really good. Kevin Durant did pretty awesome too.

This our view of the game. John was scared that we would topple forward and fall to our demise if we moved at all. It was pretty scary to be that high but we still had a fun time at the game.

Here Comes Santa Claus

This year Rubi is a little more "into" Christmas than she has been in the past. She talks about getting to see Santa all the time and she is constantly telling everyone Merry Christmas. When we ask her what she is going to tell Santa she wants for Christmas she says "candy cane". Cool, keep it cheap for the big guy! :)

The other night Santa was in a parade downtown so we loaded up and stood in the freezing cold to catch a glimpse of him. Rubi actually sat on his lap. I was shocked. Guess what she asked for?! A candy cane - and he gave her one. She was thrilled!

NKOTB

I'm such a dork! Yes, I LOVED The New Kids On The Block. I owned their tapes (yeah, I said tapes). My bedroom was practically wallpapered with magazine images of "the boys". I went to 2 concerts and I screamed until I couldn't talk. I was devastated when they broke up. Now, nearly 15 years later my desperate prayers to God for just one more day with NKOTB have been answered. However, they don't seem as cool now that they are approaching 40 and still dancing the same moves that made me LOVE them as a 15 year old little girl. Hmmm, peculiar?
